Men's Fellowship

God in His infinite wisdom created the family unit to facilitate a perpetual fulfillment of His divine and grand design called creation. From all biblical accounts, it is, without doubt, evident that God has through many ways manifested His love for family. God indeed, loves the family. However, because Satan hates what God loves, he has been unleashing relentless attacks on the family unit from the early days of creation. Though, no one in particular within a family unit is spared of this focused attack, the devil understands he logic of scattering the herd when the shepherd is neutralized or completely eliminated. Men are therefore in the front and center of these attacks. It cannot be lost on believers of the vivid analogous relationship between the union of a man and a woman to procreate within the family unit on one hand. Other the other is the superior and exemplary love of God for His church and the church’s love for Him. It is the physical representation of this relationship between God and His church found within family units that Satan has been attacking.  The church is made up of diverse family units. Logically extended, successful attacks on families would naturally cascade to the church and as falsely hoped by the devil, ultimately impact the will of God on earth. However, Satan is a liar for the Church of God will continue to march on and the gates of hell will never prevail.

VISION

The vision of New Harvest Men’s Network to have men who are in regular contact with God through prayers, praise, worship and study of the Word, and connected with one another through Christ-centered programs that engender true fellowship, spiritual growth, recreation and fun while creating opportunities to utilize their God-given talents and time to make meaningful impact to the world around us.

MISSION

Statistics indicates that only 1 in 18 men have been discipled. This translates to approximately 6%, a failing grade value even to the impressionable mind of a first grader. The Men’s Ministry of New Harvest Christian Fellowship Church will operate under Divine directions and power of the Holy Spirit to disciple men within and outside the church. Through our planned events, our men will come and bring others along, to enjoy times of uplifting fellowship in the presence of the Lord. Iron will sharpen iron and the men will, by God’s grace always go home better than they came. At the Men’s Ministry, we believe that the spiritual state of homes is key to winning the kingdom race, winning souls back to God and that men being the bishops of their homes, have a major role to play. We recognize that Daddy’s are the first heroes to their sons, the first love to their daughters, true friends and soul mates to the wives. The New Harvest Men’s Network will learn from the examples of Proverbs 31. Our hands shall not be idle and we shall strive to manage the resources the Lord has blessed us with. Thus we shall be guided by the word of God as written in 1 Timothy 5:8, “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever”.

Additionally, as enshrined in Colossians 1:28, the New Harvest Men’s Network will endeavor to see "That we may present every man complete in Christ." The Men's Ministry aims at having real men, who will emulate the heroes of faith of Hebrew 11, reject passivity without prodding; passionately accept responsibility, proactively leads with courage while investing in eternity with their time and talents. We will adopt the model of “No Brother is left behind” – when brothers will reach out to one another on a regular basis to enquire of their family’s well-being and spiritual needs. We will pray that our men will urgently realize they are tallest when on their knees and that it is at the foot of the cross they should lay all our trophies and “negotiate the terms of a full surrender of their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ”.

We believe the true, merciful and faithful Lord will enable us achieve these and more because He says in Jeremiah 29:11,  “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
